Here are some questions we get asked frequently at First Aid Pro Perth. If you have any additional queries you would like answered, please contact us at 08 8317 5117

1. Are First Aid Pro Perth Courses Nationally Recognised and Accredited?

Yes, they are. First Aid Pro Perth is a Nationally Recognised Registered Training Organisation (RTO No. 40407) delivering nationally accredited first aid courses that comply with the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) guidelines for Training and Assessment in Australia.

Our course material also adheres to the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines and provides accurate and relevant information to our students.

Once students pass the course, they are awarded a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment certification which displays the course’s name and national code.

2. Will Previous Studies From Other First Aid Training Providers, Regardless of State or Territory, Be Recognised by First Aid Pro Perth?

Yes, it will be. As an RTO, First Aid Pro Perth must offer students the chance to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) toward previous units of competence or course qualifications.

Although the RPL request can be made anytime, we recommend submitting your application before beginning your first aid course.

For further information on Recognition Guidelines and the RPL application process, please read our Booking Terms & Conditions.

3. Is There An Age Limit to Our First Aid Courses in Perth?

While there are some limitations, everyone should know fundamental first aid skills.

People aged 14 and over are allowed to enrol in our first aid courses.

Although they can register, children under 18 must provide written consent from their parent/guardian before participating in our courses.

Please download and fill in our Parent/Guardian Consent Form and email the completed form to courses@firstaidpro.com.au before your class.

First Aid Pro Perth is not responsible if a student is refused entry due to an incomplete attendance form.

Adults of all ages can register but must physically meet the course’s requirement of kneeling and performing CPR for 2 minutes.

4. How Will the Current Approved Code of Practice for First Aid in the Workplace, Effective 10th December 2010, Determine My Responsibility as a Business Owner?

Currently, the Act places accountability on the employer and self-employed to ensure that everyone, including employees, is prevented from injury and health risks.

Designated first aiders must own a current statement of attainment. If they need a valid qualification, they must obtain a nationally recognised certification under the updated code of practice.

13. What is a USI, and where do I create one?

Your Unique Student Identifier (USI) displays all your nationally recognised training records and certifications from January 1st 2015

The USI will give you information about any qualifications you earned from January 1st 2015, onwards, allowing you to access your certificates online.

To register for an accredited training course in Australia, you must have a USI.

Students that provide their USI when they enrol will have their certificate delivered on time.

Be aware that this process is external to First Aid Pro and is a government-mandated requirement for anyone in Australia attending accredited training.

This is not something First Aid Pro Perth staff can complete.

Apply for your Unique Student Identifier. If you need additional assistance creating your USI, refer to the step-by-step instructions or view the video training.
